In the past five years, Bridget has not gotten married, not had any kids and not done anything remotely similar. Instead, she visited Amanda, Darin and Tristan in Australia and then promptly quit her corporate newspaper job, sold her house and moved to Europe with a college girlfriend, Jules Summers. Jules moved back to the States less than a year later, but Bridget has stayed in Europe, settling on the French Riviera in Nice.
She managed to find a job on the Internet and now works from home. After eight years of dealing with office politics, corporate b.s. and cranky coworkers, telecommuting has proved to be the way to go for her. It also allows her to travel a bit as she can work from anywhere an Internet connection is available. She's been back to the States three times for a total of six months in the past three years, which has allowed her to be in Idaho for Aubree's birth, to see Amanda, Darin and Tristan when they visited and spend some quality time with Marty, Jenn, Jillian, Aubree, Wyatt and Dad.
During the Thanksgiving weekend of 2007, Bridget, Wyatt and Ed drove from Nezperce to San Francisco to see Barbara. Despite the 15 hours of drive time both ways, they had a wonderful time. One day, Bridget and Wyatt toured around San Francisco while Ed stayed and visited with Barbara.
